Our Story
Cronise Market Place started in 1928 when Esbey and Annie Cronise opened a farmer’s market next door to their homestead on Main Street in Boonsboro.

Current owners Bonnie and Cliff Pereschuk were high school sweethearts who have grown the business together for more than 20 years. Bonnie is Esbey’s granddaughter.
As the oldest business in the town of Boonsboro, we have deep roots in this community and care greatly for its people. We regularly support youth athletic teams, charitable efforts, and various causes important to the community.
Youth over the generations have considered Cronise Market their first job and have grown with us. Our market manager has been with us for more than 8 years, first coming to us in High School and now a grown man with a family of his own.
Honored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce as the 2013 Washington County Small Business of the Year – See Citizen article.

We strive to buy American and locally made/grown products.
We pride ourselves in putting our customers first. We truly care about the person…not just the sale. Curb service is something we provide to customers in need at Cronise Market Place. We have been fortunate enough to create numerous long-standing friendships with many of our customers and routinely go the extra mile to provide the products that our customers want.
Adding welcoming appeal to the southeast end of Boonsboro, Cronise Market Place and Olde Homestead are located next door to each other and provide a natural flow for customers to shop.
